Occasionally my freelander TD4 (2002) does not start immediately after glowplug light has extinguished but when it does start the trip meter has reverted to zero. Has anyone any thoughts what the problem could be

If you are hearing a clicking noise when turning the key or the alarm randomly goes off then it could be the battery. Happened on mine last week 2002 td4. Got new battery now it's fine
