Starting problems

Hi, probably an old chestnut, but I could do with some guidance. My Disco starts fine from cold but as if run until up to temp refuses to restart. Just turns over. Ideas?

would help to know what kind of engine it is

I don't know much about the petrol models but I know that with other engines if the injection timing is wrong the fuel atomises before it's had time to compress. Could be a possibility.

I'm guessing that it will be a petrol engine and needs a new temp sensor.
