Help i have a starting problem on my n reg dicovery tdi,it is completly random one minute it starts the next it doesnt when it doesnt there is no noise from the starter, i have just replaced the starter at a cost however problem still there the problem is it could start for the next 2 weeks or 2 minutes it is so random help.

sounds like the fuel stop solenoid not getting signal sometimes....?
you could over ride it and run a wire to the back of the igntion... I've read here that the wire to cut into is a WHITE wire on the back of the igntion

.... or test with a wire straight from the battery

sounds like the feed to the starter solenoid to me.
