got a bit of an issue starting. drove it yesterday morning fine parked up for about 4o minutes come back to start it and nothing, lights on dash are on but not even a click from starter. first thoughts were flat battery so put it on charge last night and tried it again this morning and same. any ideas?

Fuel pump running, spark at the plugs??

thanbks for reply it's a td5 so dont think plugs would be that much of an issue? will have to check fuel pump in the morning (still at work)

thats what i thought but charged battery last night and charger was reading full charge this morning and same thing. someone else said may be starter but i would of at expected at least a click from it.

Check the small lucar connector on the starter solenoid to not be loosened, if no joy give a tug to the starter with something, also check the thick main feed on it, if still no joy swap relays R2(starter) with R3(headlamp wash) and check fusible link FL12... providing it's not immobilised, did you unlock normally with fob and unlocked OK?

Nope, if it's seized, what's to click? Before turfing it out make sure it's getting juice. Could be just a dodgy connection.
