Hi
I have been having problems all year with starting problems.

1997 Disco 2.5 TDi

Engine starts ok from cold,
Once the Engine has warmed up if I switch the Engine off and then try to start it again it turns over but won't start.

I have to leave it for five minute's and then it will start, and in summer I have to leave it longer.

Its not the spider behind the dash board cos there is none fitted, apparently mine has the DDS immobilization fitted to mine, spent two hours yesterday removing dash board only to find there was none.

When cold it will stop & start ok.
Its murder when you go to fill up and have to sit there for ages just praying and hoping its going to start.

Hope you can help

When it wont start take the wire off the stop solonoid, with the ignition on flick the wire onto the connection and see if you can hear the plunger lifting.

Failing that take the engine stop solonoid out, some have a plunger you can remove then screw it back in, failing that you will have to get something to screw in, and see if it starts.

Off course if you crack an injector pipe you will see if it's delivering fuel.
