AY UP WAMMERS , you still up ???????? way past yer bedtime , happy new year ,
reilly , is alternator throwing good charge out??? and is your battery holding good charge ??????? .cheers mozz
to answer everyone, yes that one, figured it may be clutch already , and finally to my new best friend ,not mine, vehicle will not start,so all i can check is battery charge, could stick a charge / good battery on but if still a non starter i am still not any closer to a definitive answer
wammers everything you are saying makes perfect sense, that was my initial train of thought...however as the car stopped idiling suddenly immeadiately prior , a low current "may" still be a factor......i would be still sure you are right though but i would like to eliminate this cutting out business "before" i go near anything...thanks however
Sudden stop, perhaps the fly wheel has fallen off LOL Nothing for the starter to engage with and no signal from the CPS.wammers everything you are saying makes perfect sense, that was my initial train of thought...however as the car stopped idiling suddenly immeadiately prior , a low current "may" still be a factor......i would be still sure you are right though but i would like to eliminate this cutting out business "before" i go near anything...thanks however

I was jokingThink the pre engaged starter motor concept has been lost somewhat. Unless the engagement arm has failed in the starter and the bendix is not being moved forwards, if it's spinning it HAS to be engaged. I have had this on a Disco, spinning starter, failed sprag clutch. No turny enginey overy.![]()
I was joking![]()
