Hi all, The guy what had my SIII last took off this starter because his was broke (he had mine for spares), and just threw his old one in the back. I have had it reconed and when he took it off he must have threw the 2 old nuts and bolt in a box (as you do:doh:) so i dont have any. Could any one tell me what nut and bolt and 2 x nuts i need to reattach at.

Can these be got from paddocks

Just use ones that fit mate, make sure its nice and sturdy, but I will flick through the parts catologue

Thanks for you promt reply, I have nothing laying around at the moment so would need to make a trip some were to buy them. Just getting back in to landys after a 7 year break.

Ok, So have had to settle for some metric bolts which screw on ok. Will be fitting the starter on Sunday. Just a quick recap on the wiring. The haynes says that the brown from the altenator and brown from the ignition go with the red from the battery, Red and white wire from the ignition go to the spade on he solinoid, black (earth?) from ignition goes to the earth point on the small screw on the case. So im guessing the large black (earth) from the battery will go on the bolts that hold on the motor to the bell housing ?

And hopefull i will have her running for the first time in about 4 years from when the last bloke had it running (first time for me since i last had he 2003).

I carnt see any problem other then needing a bigger battery :)

Did not get round to it today, went gliding instead. Will look at doing it tomorrow when i have been and got the right bolts from a local landy parts yard, Also got to do dads Transit breaks first
