Evening all

I got a new starter motor for my series 2 2.5 n/a diesel.

For the life of me i stuggled taking the old one out but i have no chance getting the new one in !!!!!!!!!

I can get the bottom to bolts in and dont up but the top one is impossible i can hardy see it let a lone get my hand on it

What the best way to fit this should i keep trying ??
Should i remove the manifolds ??

What should i do

Many thanks everyone

Chris

Ah was just goin' to say about removin' the exhaust down pipe, but ye beat me to it:rolleyes: ;) :D

only way i have ever been able to do it without removing the downpipe was to use a flexi socket and a couple of 1/4" UJs attached to a 12" entension

ok guys i will try that the worst thing is i have fitted the new starter and the bottom to bolts are fitted perfectlybut its the top one causing the problem the one which theads into the bellhosing i just can seem to get it started due to not having enough room !!!
