hi guys just got back from strata, and boy theres a lot of water there, anyways there now seems to be an issue with the starter motor. when i try to turn the engine over the starter motor just clicks. but some times after 2 to 30 attempts it works fine. is there any quick fixes for this or is it just a new starter motor.

blast the starter innards with WD40 and while it's drying make sure yer battery is fully charged

innards = insides of the starter, just blast it through any orifice on it you can find

it'll probably have dried out by now

bump. lol sorry about that, bit thick when it comes to this kinda stuff. just took off the heat shield and had a look but cant find any where to squirt wd40 into, its a 200tdi disco 1

well if water can get in then you should be able to get some WD40 - or get it running and go for a drive to get it dry
