starter/engine pipe

hi can someone tell me what the two pipes do 1 is from the bottom of the starter and there is one near which comes from the engine same proximity ,are they breather pipes?

Got a picture of them?
From memory the starter has a drain hose. Are they pipes or hoses?

yes the starter must be a drain hose
the pipe are rubber tube like brake bleed hose size ?

The starter does have a drain tube, which is rubber. I can't think of another in that area off the top of my head. I'll take a look at mine when I have a moment.
