I'm currently building a Land Rover to use for trial events and competitions. The chassis is a shortened Range Rover classic and currently is a rolling chassis with the engine mounted.
My question is, is a standard bulkhead needed (from a defender) to make the Land Rover road legal, or is it ok being a modded/homemade bulkdead mounted to the roll cage. The idea is that everything will be mounted to the roll cage (wings, bonnet, windscreen, etc, etc.) and if needed the cage can be unbolted from the chassis and four people can lift everything off in one go.
Even though it will be used for comps, I still want to take it out on a weekend if the weather is nice.
Thanks
