SRS module removal

Hello everybody, I have recently joined and spent some time searching the forums and can't find an answer.
Can someone tell me how to remove the SRS module on a 2006 Free Lander without removing the dash and heater blower. Found a random post online about cutting the floor carpet but not sure where to or even if this is true. Your help is much appreciated.

It's almost impossible to get to without removing the dash, as it's buried under the heater assembly, against the bulkhead.

I had read that, but keen to find out if cutting the carpet option is possible and how its done.

Still hoping someone can tell me how and where to access the SRS module from under the carpet without taking the dash out.

Like I said, it's a PITA to get too with the heater in place, although Blaster1232 did it in this thread, and briefly explains how.

I have already read this post before, unfortunately it does not explain what may need to be removed, which side of the centre console to access the SRS module from or where to cut the carpet.
Unless any members can help I will just have to work it out myself and take longer than I hoped.
