Hi all,
I lowered the drivers seat from "dining room chair" position to more "car" ... anyway, the SRS light was on when I went to start the car.
A fiddle under the seat and randomly squeezing connectors cured the issue when I stopped/started the car again, but it's come back on.
So, looking under the seat there is a handful of black cables and one with a yellow sleeve.. the seat only has up/down movement electrically, and is supposed to be heated (doesn't appear to work) but i'm unsure as to which one would be the airbag/SRS one. I am a little warey about just unplugging things as I hear too many scare stories about airbags going off - something I am sure you can appreciate, I don't want to happen.
If anyone has any thoughts on what is what, it would be greatly appreciated
Oh, it went for an MOT this morning and needed two tyres which I thought were borderline and due to be replaced, a top up of brake fluid and the advisory was to get some new pads. I thank you Top Tread Tyres in Rotherham
So despite the other issues, I feel happier knowing thats all it wanted.
cheers,
jt
