My SRS light used to go out as normal after I switched the ignition on but would come back on after a couple of second. I suspected the rotary coupling to be broken so I took it out and measured the resistance in the airbag cable.
The continuity was OK so I put it back together. Now the lights does not come back so all it needed to be reset was apparently just a matter of disconnecting/reconnecting.
