Hi,

I have an SRS fault and had diags done whilst I was away working with the car.

The guys at the garage I used said it was the ECU that was at fault, My chais is a WA402xxx thay siad I needed a particular ECU, I was wonder if any one has a part number for the ECU and its related Chassis numbering

Thanks:)

Don't buy a new ECU yet, check your battery first, my 95 DT shows the same fault when the battery is in a low state of charge, I clear the fault and take the old girl for a long run.

First what year, model is the vehicle and how old is the battery plus its spec (CCA)???

+1 on the battery being low... and don,t trust the new fangled battery chargers.

Took mine on a 200 mile trip and the airbag fault never came back.(once reset of course)

You do know that there can be two bulbs behind the SRS warning and if one fails the other illuminates.

Thanks Guys,

Its a 1998 4.6 vougue, it has a new battery the guys said they had checked the wiring although I will check it my self I did not now that the bulb had a backup si I will check that as well, they did say that there was a fault on the steering wheel bag but cleared it and it did not come back.

I may well take up the offer for checking when I have done the checks you have all suggested

Cheers

Update on what I found yto be the fault "DogsBody" the member that is, raised my curiosity with his comment about the build.

I removed the instriment cover to look for the build to find the cable that plugs in the front left side hanging out.

Plugged in and the light is now out.

Thanks for all your comments and advise
