Hi

I have an annoying fault on my car (3dr 55 plate TD4). The SRS light comes on. Fault reader points at the passenger seat. Fault is reset. A few weeks later it is back on again. I would obviously like to get rid of this problem but aren't sure what i'm looking for. I have checked all the obvious but would like to check the wiring. There appears to be wires going into the seat back, seat base and some black box mounted under the seat. Is there an easy way to test? Does anybody know what resistance these loops should read?

Thanks in advance.

DO NOT DO RESISTANCE CHECKS ON AIRBAG CIRCUITS!

Check the connection between the seatbelt pretensioner and main harness is secure and has no loose connections.

Known to cause an issue and can break the circuit when the seat is moved

If you unplug the seatbelt tensioner and the ecu connection (after powering down the car by disconnecting battery for 20 minutes)

Then you can check that segment of the circuit but it's not advisable in case you get the wrong pins and cause unintended bangs elsewhere in the car!

Which connector did you check?
