I have recently changed the blend motors on my 1997 P38 4.0 (what a horrible job!!! and the hot air distribution is still problematic working:screaming_bug_eye_f sometimes and not others. I guess the second hand blend motors I fitted are also suspect!).
However I now have a fault code showing with the SRS warning light lit reading airbag fault.
I have taken the car to my local 4x4 garage and they put it on the computer and found the airbag was reading an open ciruit hence the fault. I have since checked the wires to see if I have dislodged somthing but cannot see anything obvious.
Can someone advise me of what checks to carry out to remove this fault.

Damn.... I thought they would be able to tell you a little more than that. I have the same problem and was going to take mine in after Christmas.
I have had a quick look as I was told there was some fairly vulnerable wiring by the petrol cap switch but couldn't sort it. You know it's the woring in the yellow sheathing right, might help you trace the fault.

I had this come up a few months back and it ended up being the rotary coupling, this is the device that sits behind the steering wheel and supply's power to the air bag. It was quite a costly affair considering the cheap looking part!
