squeaky brake

getting a long squeal from my front brake (drivers side) when I brake. not being very mechanically minded whats the causes and whats the remedy....looking to sort it myself.

How much pad is left? How worn do the caliper pots look?

It could be something simple like a stone stuck or a new pad is needed. Take off the wheel and the calliper and check the pads aren't too worn. If they're not worn look for stones etc. and then put it back together and see if you still get the squeak. Much better to check obvious and free solutions first or you could end up looking a bit stupid later on
