not much use to me, I've already got a set. mine aren't cheapos either,
they came from Chris Perfect via a backdoor (actually, they were a set that
someone sent back 'cos they were "noisy"...) so I got 'em cheap, and
part-paid in work done rather than cash. CP himself has retired and another
chap is running it now, though, but the company still carries his name and
still sells the same stuff.
Highly recommend 'em, though - 's a revelation to have suspension movement
on a 109. Mine had HD rears on it when I got it, and for all the give in
'em I reckon they might as well have just bolted the axle to the chassis -
probably work quite well if you normally carry 3/4 ton, mind.
all of this reminds me, must get me chassis sorted. Front spring hangers -
do they come with an extension bit to attach to the chassis? On mine the
chassis has cracked through vertically immediately aft of the off-side front
hanger (or dumb-iron, if you prefer). The spring hanger itself looks OK. a
front end repair section that works like the rear crossmembers with
extensions on would be ideal - if they're not like that then I'm probably
better off looking at a major patching job.
can you get a replacement mount for the top of the rear damper, LWB series?
If not, I'll have to fabricate one.
