hi all
right i have a 1999 freelander with the L series engine :cool:well the clutch want bang :mad:so took it apart and i have been lift with a problem you see there is no spigot bush:confused: rang local dealer who said that its not on his parts list :confused:
now sould there be one or does the shaft from the gear box just float around with the clutch plate ??? never seen of it before
any ways any help on this would be great :):)
thx
bill

transverse boxes are differently set up than longitudinally ones (input shaft runs right through the box so is supported both ends or very near one end )

many thanks for that
now how do you line the bloody thing up then when replaceing tne clutch as the hole in the flywheel is bigger then the hole in the clutch plate as my clutch aligning tool is no good for this ????
any help

You can do it by feel too! Feel around the edge to get the pressure plate central, works on most clutches, did it on my 1.8, never done one of them tho!
