Just you wait til I fit that supercharger! Then I'll have the trio! cubic inches, Hp and torque!

From what I've read 700ft/lbs from a stock 429 is easy enough

Yeah true.......they are **** bastards. I'm now completely against any RV8 powered machine......they suck **** compared to proper engines.

They has to be running to do that:p:behindsofa:

It will be soon ;) flywheel is on its way to me, bellhousing I'm collecting tomorrow evening and my mates doing the inlet manifold for me as its quicker that way.

I stick to gearbox bits he sticks to the inlet and exhaust!

We were thinking of starting it on the floor but don't really want a 270kg engine bouncing its way round the garage.....it can wait until its in the series for that! Which will be a week on thursday as we need it out the garage to make space for the lathe

bolt it down to a pallet with the engine mounts. might have to reinforce the pallet. But would be better than putting it in and then might have to take it out again. hope all goes well for you

Cant see any issues with it going in tbh heads are torqued up to spec, water pump is fine and its all timed up right, as said too its smaller than the RV8 so we have dimensions on our side ;)

Cheers anyway for once :p, and there will be a video once its sorted and in there.

We're fitting military style front dumb irons too just to give the series a little extra help carrying the weight. Also means no sump modifications

lol will doc finish his build before i finally tidy my mad max interior

Well my build needs to be done for feb!

Engines going in next week thursday, I've got the flywheel and clutch and now I've got a good length rear prop.

Next week we've also got the put on military dumb irons to raise the front end a little which will help cope with the extra weight as I've already got parabolic springs and military shackles on it, I've got the extended brake lines ready to go on too

Tax exempt  chassis is standard, military dumb irons look more or less the same as it is anyway and they are a standard part

So chassis 5
steering 2
suspension 2
axles atm 2

will be down to 9 with the new axles unless I just fit hardened internals to them
