Spark Plug and Lead Change = Misfire on LPG

Alright,

Well spent a good few hours doing a full service on my 97 4.0 V8 and fitted a set of after-Market leads from Island 4x4 whilst I was at it.

Now I had a full LPG service and new injectors installed on Wednesday and was blown away with the difference in how the truck felt, however, now following the service, she has an awful misfire on the NS bank ONLY on LPG (that I can tell) and neither petrol or LPG have any 'go' :mad:

Have just tried a old lead with each of the NS bank one by one to test for a faulty lead and no change.

The plugs I fitted were Britpart (I know not the best but told they were adequate) and the ones I took off were Bosch as well as Bosch leads, all had nice brown electrodes to were running correctly.

Any ideas what I've done? I'm tempted to just put the old plugs back in and leads on :doh:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

have you got leads on in right order,1,3,5,7 passenger side 2,4,6,8 drivers i would fit old ones, plugs first,then leads to isolate faulty components britpart do ,quality parts as well as pattern,

I think so mate, I did them all one by one and followed the numbers on the cables to the coils and back etc. I'll go and have a check in a minute to be sure.

Kicking myself to be honest as it was sweet as a nut but thought a full service would make her... Sweeter :doh:
 
pattern parts are often uselss now ive had issues so make sure i buy branded or oe or genuine from britpart with stuff like ignition parts etc
 
Cheers guys, had the RR to the indie who noted the noise and then back to the LPG man who said it was just the sound of the LPg injectors via the valve (apparently an old type of injection) and he checked with the laptop/did an emissions test and all ok...

Id sware it didn't sound like that/feel as it dose now before.
 
Just and update on this and I think I know what it is now...

New leads are about 2/3mm smaller in diameter (the metal contact) than the old standard leads at he coil end, hence not contacting correctly, evident by black burn marks on a couple of contacts and one was an awful green colour all over.

Tried to modify the contacts by expanding them and worked a treat... Until the engine heated and the thin metal contacts expended/retracted back to their original loose shape.

Now gonna fit the old leads (when I get a couple of spares as I have a duff lead) and recommend no one bothers with these leads...
 
go buy magnacore leads...f ing expensive but once fitted you can forget about them for 50k miles+

i run them on 10.5:1 cr 8psi boost supercharged on gas..

also bosch or ngk only on plugs.(really cheap anyway)..NO pattern parts..ever..
