We have a commercial freelander 2 at work. When they convert them to commercial over here in Ireland they lower the load area floor and in doing so dispose of the spare wheel.
In its place in the remaining wheel well is a Continental Emergency tire inflation kit (there isn't even a jack). All very well when you get a nail through a tire but not much use if you rip a sidewall on a forest track which is where our Freelander spends most of its working life.
Question is, can an old freelander wheel fit the freelander 2. You can easily buy a 99MY 15" wheel and tire for £50 on ebay, whereas a FL2 17" wheel and tire will be pushing £250. I'm not bothered about rolling diameter etc, it would be intended purely as an emergency wheel to get you down off a mountain to a garage.
But are the stud centres/offsets the same?
