Spare set of keys

Can i get a spare set of keys cut for my 300 tdi P reg discovery from any where? i ask this as when i tried to get some the other day from an ironmongers, but he said that they were chipped. They don't look as if there chipped. I just need a new set for emergencies.

Any key cutter will cut your keys, the 'chip' is in the fob.

I am way out here in Fiji. My original keys are working well but the plastic cover (key fob) is busted and all I need is a replacement cover. The LR dealer here is next to hopeless and says that I will need to get a totally new key and to have it prgrammed to my vehicle which by the way they cannot do. Dealers I have contacted overseas tell me the same thing and that I need to have the vehicle at their site to have the programming done. This is abit all too much for me as all I need is a new plastic fob cover which dealers simply do not want to supply me. Any ideas out there?

I got a set cut at the local shoe repair shop, just keys no fob. i am sure any key cutter will cut them if the have the blanks.
