Hi all, I'm looking into building one from scratch, anyone done it before. It will be done totally from ally but I was trying to work out two things what is the internal id of the pipe and what angle to bend the pipe where it enters the wing. From photos it looks like about 30 degrees. Any help would be great, cheers :)

Fair point, I will rephrase, If I was to use ally tube as a raised air intake how far could I bend it before the air flow would bottleneck and become to restricted at full revs? :D

I would guess the br is about 250mm I was planning on actually cutting and welding the angle as I don't have access to a mandril only a hand one and it's seen better days.

I'm open to alternative suggestions, I have access to free ally pipe and I'm a qualified ally welder so making my own makes sense but not sure of the best way to go about it

I tried to get the pipe made but would have cost much more than the price Southdown charge for the pipe alone

If you are fabricating then fair enough but of having made it's a false economy, I built it from parts over a short while and in the end should have just bought the kit in the first place, thought I was being clever/resourceful
