get a fire extinguisher  :p

looks good. If you have a hot air gun or even a hair dryer, you can get the flash to stick and shape better

Used loads of flashing tape in my 110, far cheaper than Dynomat and is really the same stuff, it's nearly like a Rangie now. I used rubber matting as carpet tiles will stink after a while with damp.

I used 1/2" thick electrical isolation rubber matting that I rescued from a skip outside a factory demolition site. I got four 1 metre square sheets of the matting. Wish I'd got more now as it is great for keeping your tootsies warm on a cold garage floor. Only problem is it is fooking heavy stuff.

Dont forget to ask first otherwise it can be construed as stealing. It never ceases to amaze me what gets thrown away especially on worksites and at the back of warehouses.

My latest score was 12 sheets of 18mm 8'x4' plywood which had water stains along one of the 4' edges where the (builders) yard had a burst pipe. Cost me a tenner to the fork truck driver to load them into my trailer and took me 10 minutes to saw off 1/2" from each sheet. Why they never cut them down and sold them on baffles me. But their loss is my gain. :) They are destined to be my nice new garage roof.

Update
Seat box all cut in with tiles will contact adhesive them tomorrow and the girlfriend picked up my Audi a4 Quattro seats today £20 for the pair!

Do let us know how they go in. Also i've been thinking about putting seats in from another car but unless they have a removable base (do they?) surely getting to the battery will be a pain in the ass?

Tis a pain getting to battery, I had half leather Recaros in my 110, good excuse to move the battery to under the rear arches or sink it into the floor behind the axle with a lid.:)

You can cut a hole in the front of the seat box then and use the battery box as a tool box

I'll stick to me Landy seats then, I find them reasonably comfortable anyway! Then again I am only 18 (19 next week I'm getting old :D )

Must say the Recaros were comfy, went to other side of Glasgow and back about 550 miles round trip and no aches or pains and I'm 65:eek:

depends what you want to do with the battery. You can fit plugs and switches on the side of the seat box

Tbh I had saab seats in my old defender that jacked up with the little leaver and tilted so it gave you enough room for jump lead ect.
The seat can be bolted in with wingnuts for quick removal.
Let's be honest how offen do you access the battery compartment

I got a mate who does industrial plumbing and its un-believable what he comes back with! his had a loft conversions worth of brand new sound proof 8x4ft sheets, sterling board, bundles of brand new copper that gets over ordered then thrown away, crane chains, bout £1500 of scrap school radiators that were destined for the skip, hot water tanks, box section and sheets of metal the list is endless! these big building firms have money to through away it would appear! Although everybody on the building site just calls him the gypo! but id put up with that nick name for all that stuff they give him

O and good soundproofing but carpet tiles don't seem to good an idea to me id stick to some matting. It wont stink and you can just wash it out
