Can anyone help; I have a Freelander (Td4 53 plate, aprox 71,000 miles) and as of yesterday have developed the following fault. As soon as I increase power to go up a hill, increase speed or just put my foot down I get a sound of an air flow from the back of the engine or even behind the dash. It sounds like the heater/ventilation fan only stronger, (the fan IS turned off). All the fluid levels are ok and there are no warning lights on the dash; apart from the sound the Freelander is fine and goes well with no power loss or other symptoms. When the car is in neutral there is no sound produced despite how high I rev the engine. I've been under the vehicle and despite the protection panel cannot see an obvious problem. I would like to identify the sound in case it's the beginning of a bigger problem.
Thanks
