Before anyone says - I did a search and found some results but no-one was offering an opinion.

I'm in the middle of taking the 2.5 petrol lump out of my 90 to replace with a 200TDI (pictures & thread will be posted eventually) and I'm going to take the opportunity to service the bodywork/parts of the chassis that never normally see the light of day.

I saw on a conversion thread a few weeks ago that someone had coated the engine-bay side of the bulkhead with metal-lined sound deadening. I had a look on eBay and there were some promising results.

I'm more inclined to go with this: eBay link

So:

A) Has anyone used this and is it any good?

B) Is 4m² enough to cover it?

Thanks

my bro has done it on his series 2a 88

www.reconrovers.com check out Andys 88 inch rebuild. he got it from ebay and its great the car is not together yet but I did my trans mission tunnel on my 90 and it reduced the DB reading slightly at 60 mph verse the old carpet i had there using a non technical app for my i phone.

I wonder if 4m/sq will be enough to also to the transmission tunnel. I plan on putting in a carpet set once I've sorted the leaking doors so it should be quiet as a church mouse.

Any opinions on the quality of the stuff on that eBay link (and price?)?
