Just out of interest, I wonder if members of any J..P forum have to dodge incoming flack if they mention L...….R
I'm now going to hide behind the sofa.
It's not the mentioning of the marque per se. It is the insistance of Richards who tend to call a Land Rover /Range Rover a j**p, that have caused the issue. I doubt that those with a j**p are delusional enough to say Land Rover/Range Rover when they speak about their vehicle. :)

Shame, you probably would have been more impressed with the freelander than you would have admitted. And you wouldn't have been driving a small cock, big car syndrome motor, or in the case female owners no cock, wish I had one syndrome motor. Good luck with it, they are great value for money, well in LR terms anyway.

............But with every cloud......

Hoax. I'm not being had twice that way!

Ah, for the missus. Hmmm. Can she not have the P38?
P38 is currently non-compus, still running rough, could get it up to 50mph the other day, but it wasn't happy about it, plus it is not taxed, insured or tested - and to get it to run, I have to disconnect the MAF so will defo fail on emissions.

When looking, she just fell in love with the Freelander - I kind of understand why - she loved her pick up/truck cab as it was dead simple and fun to drive......this little 3dr Freebie with it's removable rear end, Targa roof and big windows reminds her of her truck cab, plus it is no nonsense, no frills, cheap motoring.

She said if we could find a car she would like I could have the L322, as everything i was looking at for me was to expensive and in the long run would I have been happy with it or have a hankering to go back to a Range Rover in 3 months.....this way, she gets something she will enjoy, and I get the L322, which I will be more than happy with!!!

Win, Win, Win....

It does have a fault, the EML is on and has reduced power - I managed to coax it up to 55mph on the flat when we picked it up and dropped it off at work, but didn't like slight gradients to much and was pokey enough up to 30-35mph but beyond that it was sluggish.

Will plug it into diagnostics in the next couple of days, and reading the reference materials, it could be MAP, Injector No.1, MAF, IAT,Coolant Temp etc.....as they will cause reduced output, and one of them (can't remember which) will limit the pump output to a max of 21mg/stroke - but we will see what the ECM shows up.

When you consider we only paid just over £350 - there is scope to put a bit of money it her to get her back to running properly.....not bad I guess.

Its not letting me up load images at the moment, so I will post pics soon.

Well the doors haven't fallen of yet so that's a good start and the alloys look a bit like the boast RR ones, did you find any curling tongs in the back:p
for that little money looks good:) can pay more than that for a couple of tyres for the RR.
