Dont mind doing a bit of work myself - always bought doer uppers in the past BMWs/Audis/Porsches so dont mind swapping lights/interiors bolt on/bolt off stuff.
Not great on engine rebuilds

How do I upload a iphone video here guys?
The seller of the possible dodgy white one has sent me a video of him going round all the underside and exhaust area - wondered if you guys could take a look?

I can see it.

Doing it in the wet is a bit naff, but hey ho.

TBH it dont look to bad, Have you asked if hes had a rear quarter put on cos that funky bit that @gstuart asked about is a bit weird, and seems to be both sides.
Note I said looks until you can actually "tap" it to see how it sounds.

The outrigger end looked a bit manky. I’d be more interested in all the numbers matching and the V5 everything else can be repaired. I guess starting 90s are £10k these days  where they used to be £2.5k

Might be an idea , if you are really keen on this one, to pay the AA, or similar, to do one of their checks on it. £190 is worth it, to know before committing

From a 90 owner, definitely consider a 110, especially if it’s not a daily or you don’t live in the city! I love my 90 but would’ve done so much more if it were a 110. I could put a bed in it, more seats, more dogs, whatever. 90s are actually pretty small and I have a roof rack fitted to fit the gear on if two of us are going on a trip. I’ve fitted a toolbox, made the most of the space and have a dog guard in and I do wish I’d gone 110 to be honest. At the time I was set on a 90!!!

hard to tell if that’s muck or corrosion isn’t it. Doesn’t looks too bad. Looks like it’s got a Dixon rear crossmember too

Lol, city of culture don’t you know ;)

No it’s in Colwyn Bay, Wales matey, so bit of drive just to go and check it over.
Considering one of the AA/RAC inspections though as well.

Actually if there’s any forum members up that way I’d happily offer some cash/donation for someone to go give it a once over for me abs report back.

If you're keen it's not far to go to check it over. If you don't know what you'd be looking for get AA or such like. As I said £190 or so isn't a lot, not on a £10k vehicle.

hiya

Is it just me or is he going to fast with the video , those front outriggers don’t look right to me but maybe ur goodself or someone else can catch it as I can’t, lol

plus 1, can’t tell until u give the chassis a tap, that would make sense ref that area i circled , just can’t make it out

Managed to get some screenshots , including those front outriggers , wonder what the bulkhead is like ??

doesn’t look rust free and solid to me , lol

Plus 1 what’s been mentioned , get the AA/ RAC or one of the forum members to have a look at it for u , best to spend a few hundred quid than 10k , personally I would say “ I’m Out “ , lol

if u can go for a 110 if u want some room , plus better for passengers

may i also add there’s plenty here who will always advise u if ur unsure if something m don’t want to start off with buying a chassis that isn’t 100% , please don’t ask me how I know

done 2 x chassis swaps and was like opening a can of worms to the 7th bridge , that was before I got to the bulkhead , ended up scrapping a few as they were simply to far gone once u started getting into the bones of them

plus if u see chequer plates on bottom of doors etc that’s another sign to run away

hope u find what ur looking for and don’t ever forget ur not on ur own, plenty of us to help

That chassis is a basket case on the face of it which is potentially a shame as the cosmetic touches are good. Unless someone can put a screwy through it, sorry inspect it I’d be a buyer if a gun was pointed at my canister :D

not just me then, lol

seems as though someone has just gone along with underseal but alas all the rust is starting to come through again

can u imagine what it would be like with a camera inside the chassis or bottom corners of the bulkhead , would like to see pictures of under the floor by the door hinges, seat base , bottom of the door posts , etc, lol

On looking at those screenshots I would have to change my "dont look to bad" to that needs a bloody good look at in person before parting with hard earned beer tokens. I wouldnt waste my time being that far away and hang on for another to pop up closer.

Good luck with the search OP.
