something is missing from my boot

hi all,

there is a hole in the right hand side of my disco boot (by the dickie seats) where something has previously been fitted. its small and round so im guessing it was a 12v socket. am i right? if so, which wires should i be looking for to connect a new one? red and black?

Mine didn't have a socket in the boot (until I fitted one). Photo would help to identify the hole but it doesn't sound standard.
