SOLVED -- 1994 M reg D1 ES 300TDI ABS diagnostic location

Hiya..

Im trying to locate the diagnostic ABS socket...it does NOT have the (what would be) OBD 16pin socket, not does it have a 5 pin behind the R/H drivers footwell side panel, just relays... Please assist... Thanks in advance.. Steve

It should be near your left leg when sitting in the drivers seat, they can unclip themselves and fall back behind the lower facia,

Hiya.. Yeah that OBD type/style socket, is not on my car, anywhere...which is frustrating to say the least... My 300 is one of the first , of 1994...really really early... I found a BLUE 4 pin socket, but i read somewhere that this was the airbag test point...

All u need to know... as the question has been asked before, I’ll leave u to search the ABS ‘ blnk test’.

A little update, whilst what you say, is correct, in the aforementioned post, there are aspects and information therein which do not comply with the vehicle i have...
The location of the ABS light relay, IS under the passenger dash panel--but its right at the back hidden by 3 other relays, and with a different wiring code---but it DOES have a GREEN base.. Also, drivers side BLUE plug socket, is a FOUR pin, and not 5 pin, as stated...although a 4 pin is stated on other threads..

A little update...seeing as its taken a while to figure out exactly how to read the ABS code on a 1994 M reg disco 300tdi ES...



Ok...here we go.. This information is an addition to any other information you may have come across...

Vehicle-- UK spec, Discovery1, 1994, Mreg, ES 300tdi, with ABS...

To read the "blink code", proceed as follows..

Remove passenger dash under panel...
Locate the little "tray" top left area, with 4 relays...
3rd ? (positions may have been moved) relay back, locate the relay with the GREEN base ( and possibly green relay)
Disconnect this relay, from the base (Pull it out)

Drivers side, open under dash fuses access cover, below steering wheel
Locate the BLUE, FOUR pin connector..
Bridge together the BLACK wire, and the BLACK/PINK wire..( Its a diagonal connection)
Turn on ignition
Read code as per uploaded video, above..
