Well after much soul searching I advertised my Rangie last saturday on the www here in France. Yeah s`pose that`s everywhere really, but on a French based site. The prices of cars here will shockyou Brits!
Anyway after replacing almos everything, or so it seems I`d fallen out of love with the Rangie , and felt any litle new problem woukd just finish me off,so.
Any-way had about 10 e-mails in 4 days. 2 offering swops, but I`ve already got a Disco, (yeah I know but it`s a different st of pproblems!), so no swop. reply from someone with a brother in Madagasar who really wants it etc...NO. The rest seemed serious.
First viewing weds afternoon. On test drive got pretty near stuck on edge of ploughed field, but, he got it out while I was walking back for Disco. So all ok. Anyway he was happy so shook hands on a deal.
French law says, basically all vehicles sold must have test cert(C.T.) less than 6 months old. (test valid for 2 yrs here). Mine was 9months so we went together to test centre thurs morn (lucky with appointment). Passed with advisories. I`ve ordered ex back box and front CV gaiters. Got my cheque, we did papers for ownership transfer, he got new reg docs and plates, and insurance, and dropped me home. Less than 22 hours start to finish
I can guess what some of you are thinking, but paid cheque into bank 15-00 hrs yesterday, on line before 08-00 this morning and it`s in my account.
France doesn`t always work this smoothly, but it seems the gods were smiling on me this time.
I`ll be putting some spares inc 6 alloys with 245/75 16 ebay sometime and will put a link thro to spares on this site, but they`re in France at moment although could get `em UK later on.
