Soft dash ABS ECU

Hi

I have a problem with the ABS on my Softdash. It had shorted some of the wires where it goes through the bulkhead, I've now repaired all the damaged wires and it appears to be working but I'm getting the TC and ABS fault lights staying on.
When I do the paperclip test it says there is no faults stored. What I was wondering was could the ECU have been damaged when the wires,shorted out?

Also as it is the Softdash it has the 2 wheel traction control so would an ECU from an early P38 fit? Or would an earlier Classic on do?

Hi yes everything works as it should just the lights don't go out and no fault codes are stored.
That's what makes me think it could be the ecu.

Might it just be that you need a testbook to clear the error?

Does the paperclip method not reset it all? I thought it would not need a reset as it did not show up any faults doing the blink test.
