okay so i have a rotten '95 soft dash (mint interior but wrotten body), 3.9 efi lpg solid chassis and a classic 2 door rangie. i want to know is it poss to build a 2 door soft dash with all the abs and tc off the late one with the body off the 2 door???? i was thinking body swap???? any ideas????

I think the only problem you will have is the doors on the 2 door are longer so you will have issues with the trim panels. The dash should go straight in.

fitting the dash is not goingto be easy, as the softy has a different bulk head. also the wiring loom will be fun as well. would be a lot of hassle, swearing and general insanity. good luck with it. sure you will be posting quite a bit if you go ahead.

the export 2 door was availible with a soft dash i think, but as mentioned i suspect the bulkhead changed

what do you mean a disco bulkhead??? cut it out and weld it into my 2 door??? then the soft dash will fit? i'll have to use the two door seats and trim but as much as poss i want from the soft dash. As fo the wiring im just going to swap the whole loom everything. gonna have the cut out the transmission tunnel and swap that as well me thinks.

I looked at merging my 4 door and my 2 door classics but insurance was silly money once it had been modified to that extent. it was peanuts as a standard 2 door though.

if you are not changing the number of doors though it may not be so bad.

I was wondering about putting the later leather seats on the old 2 door seat frames, would they fit do you reckon?
