Soda blasting

As an alternative to Sand, glass or grit blasting - Does anyone know/ have any experience of this?

Is specialist equipment needed, or can "standard" blasting nozzles and containers be used?

Any info please, as it seems to be a cleaner, less aggressive system?

Gives a much better finish than shot, bead, or sand blasting, good for bodywork. I think it is run through standard equipment but I don't have any experience with it.

there must be some bad points - wonder what they are, coz so far, I cant see any reason why it shouldnt be used.

yeah - i seen several sites selling stuff, bot i havent heard that yu actually need special stuff - hence the Q.

well dunt the powder need ta mix at a certain rate otherwise it stops fizzing

i seem o remember reading somewhere that you need a ceramic nozzle so that the soda doesnt react with the blaster
