Up the motorway 65-70 ish nice and lovely and Dorris felt like every now and then she was Missing a beat ,
she's a 300Tdi auto
feels like she may be sucking in air every now and again ,
i changed the leakoff pipes a couple of months ago, she's had anew lift pump, fuel filter and the back filter has been cleaned.

i'll have a poke around to see if i can find any leaks now i'm back. Hopefully not the pump , but i do have a spare i can put on if necessary.

Any one got any ideas where a good place to start is?
she seems to miss most between 50 and 60 and it only lasts a few seconds at most that's wy i'm thinking air

might be worth looking at the fuel cut off solenoid? these can play up but but from my experience they usually have more of an impact than feeling like its missing. but i have read of other people have had the same thing you are.

Had a quick 5 minutes today and had a look around the MAF area and noticed sooty deposits around the egr blanking plate.
on removal the gasket had blown, so cleaned up quick bit of gunk and refitted. on the way home all was well.

Hopefully that was it, but this saturday i'm planning a full strip down and clean up :)

Quick update just in case it helps anyone in the future. All pipes etc. seemed ok so i left alone. It was 100% the EGR blanking plate gasket.
the one that came with the kit wasn't very good, i put a decent one on ( sorry no part number just ordered it from our local auto parts shop) and a week later runs like a dream.
so moral of the story is if you remove your egr valve, use a decent gasket :)
