bent conrods are a lot worse than misfires!

personally I thing a glove or silicone may hamper the dizzy as you're then trapping any vapour in that is created

Mine looked like this after the last outing

After we had cleaned the dizzy off mind to find the reason for it stopping (wire came off the coil) ddidnt miss at all even when sat underwater and mud and being drenched

but all the plugs and inside the dizzy were bone dry and no mud whatsover in them despite sitting and winching through this

But yeah install a snorkel

and make sure everything is sealed well

i gotta say james i think i might have been UNLUCKY because i have a mate that just started out wheeling in a disco 3.9

we went to parkwood and he only had one cutout all day, simply blasted the dizzy inside with WD and it was right as rain again

never missed another beat all day

it made me think maybe my coil was weak all along, but then you see other people with relentless problems so i really dont know!

I thibk everything about RV8's is unpredictable and different.

Mine seems to love water and runs lovely and smooth and revs up really well whereas my mates 4.6 that he built up (and knows what he's doing) vibrates doesnt rev up well and needs to warm up a fair bit ....

Now he wants to start from scratch again and aim for 300 + hp .... ill drop an ls or lexus in my next buggy I think
