Been lookin into this a bit more. Looks like abs fitting snorkels have a bracket that moves the airbox across towards the motor to make room for the pipe down the side of the inner wing. Could this idea help with the turret problem??!

Here's the other type pipe for non abs

I have the non abs type. That looks like the air box has been lifted considerably. On mine the air box is in the normal position with the snorkel entry higher up the side of the box, which means the turbo hose is lower down and fouls the suspension strut.

Before you say owt ! Iknow i'm gettin bloody good at this  LOL
Seams that there are different styles of connectors to the air box ! I can't see a prob as long as you get the right one ???
Hope this helps ??

Don't worry about the wires M/H/M they've been like that for the last 3 years !:) After I cooked my motor & had to put another 1 in ,totally melted the plug in the head & this motor had it blocked off, And done 20,000 miles in it since ! 1 head gasket changed & only because it was blowing at the back of no4 cyl :mad: + I have taken most of the gizmos off:eek: ! eg no ABS no valve down on inner wing brakes work ace can nearly stop it on a Tanna !! + Air bags disconnected ! only got the 1 in the wheel now as i'v changed the dash:)

Rite I hope you can see from those pics the standard position from the mounting pins and how high it sits etc.

Next I popped it out (I mean the airbox) and put it sort of where it would be if it was mounted like an abs fitted snorkel, like magics who looks like an abs snorkel on a non abs vehicle, and it looks like it creates a good bit of room

Now finally I left my airbox in its front locating pins where it should be but I lifted the back of it up and off its bungs that go down into the wheel arch as if it had spacers under it

This also looks like it creates some room.

All we need now is someone to come along with +2 turrets to have a go and see how it works.

Hope this all turned out OK and helps

AWAKE! Mate I was eating bacon butties at the crack of Dawn, don't tell my lass tho cos she's called Becci

So you've got an abs snorkel on a non abs vehicle then

I was sort of aiming it at mad hat man. I don't know if he will want to change to that set up and I'd like to see pics of how his looks, but yes, I'm thinking your set up might work. Do us a favour and buy some long turrets to see haha
