Smoking Habit!

My Disco 300TDI smokes badly at idle when hot, it doesn't use any oil, loses a tiny amount of water, maybe 1/2 pint on a 300 mile motorway run but smokes when you pull up to a junction or sit at idle after a run, anybody got any suggestions as to a remedy?

could be fuel filter due for being changed

Did you get this sorted as I have been having the same problem recently?

could be sticky fuel injectors, have a look at this thread for how to check and change them

Not yet, one for the weekend. Gonna pull the injectors, change out the filter, it's pretty shabby so I guess it's been a while.

Just revisiting this eventually replaced all the injector return hoses, bought GM V6 set and cut them to suit. Instant cure after all the fruitless messing around!

Fair play to you for returning and posting the remedy , mine is doing the same and i have noticed a Kink in the return hose back to the pump ,it feels like hard plastic type pipe ,the little pipes are braided type rubber . do you think this could be my problem?
