Some low life has used my range rover as a super market and smashed off the drivers mirror, taken the centre caps on the wheels, the lower towing front plastic cover and tried to take the wind screen wipers!

Anyone got a good idea where to get a new mirror etc?

:mad::mad::mad:

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately L322s have depreciated to the point where the great unwashed can buy them so I guess we'll see more incidents like this of bits being removed. A mate has an e46 M3 and lives in central London and his front bumper has been stolen three times now!!

There's a guy on ebay selling a drivers door mirror for an L322; item No 171075518540 (beadlessidcuplandroverparts) buy it now price of £101.75 + £6.50 p&p. Any good??

Thanks for the info but unfortunately the mirror that used to be fitted before it was ripped off by that f?!()£&** baw bag is the one with all the features such as puddle lamp, fold, electrochromic etc. my pal has managed to get me a part with a large discount from a landrover dealer for £367, still a lot but not worth claiming on the insurance.

I've bought a security camera for the front of the house to try and deter these scumbags.

I think my car was a shopping list of parts as the centre caps from the wheels and the front tow hitch cover were taken too:mad:

Not just the cost to buy them though. I could upgrade to a 2006 L322 and only have to pay £600 a year insurance (a lot for some of your older boys I know). For the same year S-Class I'd be looking upwards of £1,500 to insure it.

You can't get as much luxury as a Range Rover anywhere else for less money. There is no wonder the peasants are taking ownership of them over BMWs and things of that nature.

I've been trying to find a set of mirror cover's for mine since i bought it and they're like rocking ****!
Hope you don't get any more scum bags mate.

Help
I have fitted the new mirror, but no power getting to it apart from the puddle lamp. The power fold and the electric mirror don't work. Tried the fuses but they are fine.
The new mirror was £326 inc vat from land rover so not to bad apart from it doesn't work!!
Any ideas????

I trust the original mirror worked!

Is the wiring loom damaged??

Check the pins in the connection for damage...bung it on a Diagnostics...it may issue a Mirror Motor Position Potentiometer fault or similar...these are complex cars!

All connectors are fine, I thought it would be a straight plug and play as the new mirror comes with new wire loom.

The little grey clip on the power cable was not tight enough, so it was a poor connection. Adjusted the clip and its tight and making a good connection. The clip on the new unit is slightly different from the old unit, I think this caused the problem.

All sorted now, just need to work on the brakes and suspension now.
