Lump kicked up by a lorry yesterday has fully cracked my screen.

Looking at options for reaplcement.

Insurance has a £70 excess on screen.

Looking at costs I think thats probably the cheapest and most convenient way to do it. Am I right?

Will a screen replacementcompany replace the whole screen seal as it needs it!?

get your insurance to worry about it :) they come to you as well and tell them its damaged the seal when it cracked like the mad hat man said its just part of fitting . and if they said its not just supply a new seal its about £15

Be careful! I had a new windscreen fitted by AutoGlass last year to the 110 200tdi. The guy crakced the new screen as the replacement seals were to tight so we ended up having to wait another day until they got a new screen and he re-fitted using old seals. Looks as if the 're-manufactured' seals sometiems don't fit properly.
