Sluggish starting 05 FL TD4

Hi I am new to the forum but have been an LR user for many years. Currently our 05 TD4 which has 100k miles on the clock has developed a sluggish starting situation. It has had a set of new injectors fitted which when the engine has heated up makes it run smoothly but when starting from cold its slow to start and it runs unevenly until it warms up, then its ok and runs smoothly. I have not yet checked the glow plugs and am wondering before we go down that road if there is anything else we should check first or do when we are checking the glow plugs whivch may help to solve this starting problem.
