SLS Rear air suspension dropping

Hi all i know this is my first post, basically the story goes; bought my disco 2 2002 with springs on the back. After umming and arring i decided to fit airbags back on to it. I chose this because of towing mini diggers etc.
I fitted the air bags today and inflated them manually using homemade harnesses to control the pump and valves. The wierd thing is the back drops slowing but level. Im guessing the left and the right is seperate sides not joined through the valve having internal leakage.
Any ideas on what to check i have been round the pump and valves and bag connections with leak detector and all appear fine.

Hi Matt, you need to find out where the leak is. Use a spray bottle full of soapy water to find the leak(s).

All sorted now, had a slight leak on one of the unions. Popped a new o-ring on, good as gold thanks

I Know this might be an old post but, I am looking at doing the same thing. I have a D2 that some one has put springs on the back, Why i dont know but i am looking at putting the air bags back in. As far as i can see, The pump, air lines and ele are still in place. I was just wondering if there is any way of seeing if the pump and all are ok with out having to plug in anything. I know that you can on a P38 by jumping the relay, Can you do the same thing with the D2.

Hi, if you dont have the warning on the dash you can't do too much cos the system is disabled with tester so you can't escape without plugging it in...the only thing you can check is if the compressor is running or not by removing relay R5 in engine bay and bridge it's contact but only for short time untill you hear it cos the valves are closed so there's no way for the air to come out ...make sure that fusible link FL9 is good before that....for any other testing the tester is compulsory

Ok mate thanks. I think its something i will have a play with, As long as i can find someone with a black box to plug in.....
