slick 50 engine treatment yes or no?

I did some research last time I changed my oil. Slick 50 seems to be a bad idea because of the ptfe. I found extralube zx1 and it had good reviews and no ptfe.
Engine ran quieter and smoother with more power.
Was quite a lot of info out there. Will try and find the links tomorrow, but the main consensus seemed to be oil on its own simply meets manufacturers specs, whereas these can be improved upon with additives, but do not use any with ptfe due to blockages and such in oil channels.
 
just changing oil reulary is all thats needed theres no poor lubrication in a normal engine engine oil is enough ,if there where contact points of metal on metal you wouldnt get many miles,its the cotaminents in oil through use that wear brgs etc,
 
DuPont have specifically suggested PTFE is NOT suitable for engines
 
il avoid he ptfe supplements then, cheers. also ive bought a second hand k&n filter for the 300, can anyone suggest the best way to clean the filter as im new to this.
