Hi all, I've recently got a 94 300tri auto with single Button alarm. When I got it it Was unlocked and no battery in the fob when I got round to putting a battery in the fob and locked it the alarm started to sound. Can I remove the alarm siren or the entire alarm as it has a separate immobilization unit with a separate key on the dash. My neighbor is a cranky git and I now leave it unlocked so the alarm won't sound. If its better to pm me so the details are not available on the internet please do. Thanks guys

Hi Lyndon, of course u can, the early systems use a horn, the BBUS siren sounder is on the later two button systems. If you do have a siren than its aftermarket, so what ever u have "yes" is the answer just cut and secure the connections .
Removing the entire systems, the ECU will result in u losing your central locking facility so it will be key only after you have changed the master CL actuator, also you would normally also loose the immobiliser function and therefore would have to install a a couple of direct feeds to the items that would be controlled by the ECU... but as u have the immobilizer covered by another unit u wont have that problem assuming it hasn't any linking connections to the factory system.
