Looking for a run around for the summer to ferry foreign kids about and possibly tow a horse trailer.

We only need it from June till September

D2, not fussed on box or engine as long as it's fairly clean inside, working and servicable.

I'm happy to do any work that needs it as long as it's not fully welding up the arse end etc

£1200 max funds

Cheers

For 1200 quid, you are probably talking V8 Auto, the td5s tend to hold their value a bit better.

Might be worth looking at what you can get London area. I don't think they are Euro 4 compliant, so some people may be looking to offload before the ULEZ gets extended in 2 years time.

I'm considering selling my D2 as I need to downsize from that and my Passat estate and get one car (will use the Mrs' Ford Kuga as main family car) as we're planning on extending the family by one (or two) soon.

I was hoping to get a little more, but I'd consider £1200 for it if you were interested.

It does have a few mods, like snorkel, winch and winch bumper, dif guards, transmission guard, fuel tank guard and a steering guard, and also a CB radio.
In the last four years (not done many miles), but had a new clutch kit as the dual mass fly wheel was on it's way out, and a brand new Garrett turbo. Its also had a new master cylinder and slave and various other bits done.
I had removed the tow bar, but still have it, so would let you have that too, altohugh you'd need to refit it.
On its last MOT, the tester (who has a lot of Landy's in to his garage) said it's one of the nicest/best Discovery's hes driven.

I have removed the two seats in the boot, so it is currently a five seater.

there is some corrosion to the rear chassis, but it went through the mot no problem. My mechanic said it's fine for a couple of years, but will need doing at some stage, hence the price.

It will be a very reluctant sale as I spent quite a bit on it and really enjoy driving it.

If you did want it for £1200, I'd also include a heavy duty rear bumper that I haven't got round to fitting yet.

Here’s a couple of pics of my D2. It does have few cosmetic imperfections, but it’s reliable, drives really nicely and has always had top quality parts used.
