Hi I have a series one that was bought by my dad way back in 1982 .I think he paid £900 pounds for it .over the years it has had various repairs and modifications if series 3 rear axle and engine. My last repair was too the rear x member. Tub off etc. A local man had his 56 series one front end rearranged in a accident o he sold me the newish x member and rear chassis members .so my chassis all sorted now. I also have a 2005 freelander but I have a few niggles with that.mechanically it OK but my central locking does not operate from the key?? And my rear window sometimes goes down instead of up when closing the door?? Give me a series any day slow, draughty, not very comfortable ,let's the rain in ,and no electric this and that???????
