Silverdale, Sun 18th July

I know it clashes with LRO Billing show (and Briercliffe), but is anyone interested in the pay & play day at Silverdale on the 18th? Its a wooded area with a few openings, plenty of climbs, plenty of difficult paths and swampy/boggy areas too. I think its approx 80-100ac.

I am new to off road have a freelander 2 would this be a good start and how much is it. and where do you meet

you would be better at Briercliffe Quarry in Burnley as its only 15 mins from Preston on the 18 July

Cant say i have ever been to Silverdale but i have been to briercliffe a few times and it's a good day's off roadin (not that Silverdale isnt im sure) But as im able to comment on Briercliffe it has some good open off roadin areas round the sides of the course if you dont want to damage your vehicle to much!

I am too far from Briercliffe but Silverdale is not too far. Went there today and had an excellent day's off roading. The recent rain has considerably changed the ground conditions and it was very slippery and variable in places, making it a very interesting drive out. Last time I didn't get stuck but put a few dents into the car; this time I got stuck twice, both daft little "stucks" instead of anything major. A little trim damage was done but I have enough parts to fix it at £0.

How was Briercliffe? Did you guys go in the end (I'll find the Briercliffe thread and see there too).
