fitted the silicone hoses from dph along with the wide 12mm t clamps

they just seemed slightly long and haven't but wondering has anyone trimmed them down at all please and how

hawksaw etc, didn't like to do it in case the end frayed of came apart somehow

nearly finished now, new re chipped synergy refitted , just got to get a latching switch and solder on the spade bits to the wire , want to get a square one that has the facility of a back light

think the carling switch will fit the bill the best

put the synergy into the ecu box, put a couple of notches in the side so sits in there nicely

done the extendable breather for my auto box and tidied all the wires etc up with cable ties

will take a pic if anyone is interested , or any particular view someone wants to see, plse let me know and happily take a pic of the engine bay etc

thks guys

re: dph hoses ..
the only one i thought were too long was the 'S' shaped one exiting from the intercooler .. then on comparing it to the original realised i'd fitted it upside down ..
.. small difference .. was ok when i refitted it right-way-up ..

as for cutting the hose .. i used a big pair of scissors ..
no ragged ends ..
( i had some spare hose that i used for another purpose and had to cut it )
although .. i think using a large sharp knife would have given me a straighter cut :)

i did find the large t-clamps supplied a bit too big and ended up fitting one size smaller ..

~~~~~~
btw: my hoses were for the air-temp-sensor in the hose system type ..
thks mate
yeh know what u mean about the hoses different in one side being different to the other
they just need a little bit cut off about an inch, its mainly the egr one
did have to mess around with the t clamps but got there in the end
i put a cable tie around the left hand hose to stop it rubbing on the screw and it just keeps it away
after doing all this work gave it a good run today and suprising how well it went
all the flat spots have gone and pulls like a train
dont know if fitting silicone hoses makes any difference but the old ones were very weak and could easily push them in
also replaced all the vaccum hoses and the new rechipped synergy box is back on, set that to number 3 with the maf switch off
